Navaho   

The following Sub-procedure is well known by the practitioners all over the world. The expression "Navaho" is due to Kathleen Haddon (1888-1961), Alfred Cort Haddon's daughter. In her book "Cat's cradle from many lands", she defines the verb "Navahoing" :
"This movement I refer to as "Navahoing" in account of its frequent occurence among the string figures of Navaho Indians of New mexico, USA."

If two loops lie on a finger. "Navaho" this finger consists in releasing the proximal loop.
In the example below, we "Navaho" left thumb.
