Step 1a

Make a small loop as for Opening M. Transfer the small loop to a great toe. Take up the long loop into Position I.

Step 1b

R2 picks up the left palmar string and return.

Step 1c

Distally, insert L2 into R2 loop, pick up the right palmar string and return.

Step 1d

Release 1.

Step 1e

Pass 1 distal to 2 loops and 5n. Proximally, insert 1 into the small loop and return.

Step 1f

Release toe loop. Extend.
